Quick clip on stuff.
That's why my cart kit has a half dozen alligator-clipped wires in it.

The reason I don't jumper the high amperage side is I jumper the activation circuit and test the results. This way no high amperage safety switch has been defeated. And this way I can get results from both circuits not just the big switched one as 'jumpering' does

I hope this helps somebody

use soft copper alloy jumper clips on 6 guage wire.... believe me, the alloy metal will fry faster than anything if there is a problem. I too jumper the activation circuit when possible, but there are times when I find the need to jump the main terminals.

They may have been used that way in the past. I make no promises regarding their previous sufferage.

But, now that you mention it.....

My point was is that ever since I came to any Golf cart site everybody is always suggesting to jumper the big terminals on the non running cart.......... So many people do this only to have the cart still not run and they buy a solenoid only to have the cart still not run!
Why? Because the problem was not the solenoid but the solenoid activation circuit.

jumping soleniods????? for testing purposes i will jumper it but i take the diode and resistor off 1st.....don,t ask why i just do.........but i agree only for testing and very carefully .........i have a few jumpers made up but i,ll tell you what else works....you know the old wire and and push switch you could use on the old ford trucks if the soleniod was bad you could clip the ends to the soleniod and the wire was long enough you could sit in the truck push the button and trk would crank over remember them? works great for a soleniod jumper.............................

lmao I believe they are called "remote starter switchs"..... I still have one of those too.... I even have a jumper I made up that has a 36 volt resettable breaker inline (the type that you used to find in the old "total charge" chargers.....

never tried jumping the main terminals on a solenoid but I do use it for remote activation of the activation circuit when running diagnostics on carts . works better than setting a solid jumper wire between the main pos on the battery pack and the activation post on the solenoid.
