Default EZ Go powers down

have a 2000 ez go electric cart - batteries are year old and all connections are good and clean - cart will start off good and then power down to a crawl. Then will go for a minute and power down again - Anybody have any suggestions

can you look at this and tell us what cart you have??

is there any mods done to this cart ?
is it lifted and big tires?

Typically when the controller overheats it shuts off and then when it cools off it can go again until it heats up and shuts down again.

The will also occur if the magnet that the speed sensor is reading comes loose. Check the torx bolt that holds the magnet in place and make sure the magnet isn't loose and there are no breaks in the speed sensor wiring.
