Ive just come to the conclusion the strobes are just junk.....I think the marine battery gives off too much juice for them. On the pack they are fine standing still. If I put a load on the pack the work but are very dim...

have you tried to run the strobe directly off the battery?
Put the red on the positive terminal of the marine and the negative to the negative on the marine.
As was said it is impossible they work even partially on the pack and not the marine. If they are the generic 12 volt type strobe then the marine should run it just fine. I'm am concerned about the ground blocks you seem to have. You mention one from the marine and then another ground block to the Pack. make sure those ground blocks are not touching any part of the frame or any other metal on the cart. You could have some cross grounding going on.I say that because you said you pulled the positive from the marine and put it on the pack and the strobe worked. w-out moving the ground to the pack this is impossible. they should not be connected that way.

I am curious not about the strobes themselves but about the running lights. Are they self grounding circuits? meaning do the mounting screws ground the lights to the frame in any way? Is it possible you have a frayed isolator touching somewhere. As others have said the 36v battery pack is not isolated from the marine batt somehow when you make that connection so you have bleed over somewhere. I have white/amber strobes and front LED fog lights wired to my 12v marine battery with no problems at all.

I have not tried to run it to the marine battery direct. I just ran the ground to the pack and isolated two of the 6 volts. My dad borrowed the cart for the weekend so I'll have to wait till I get it back to try running it to the marine battery. There is nothing grounded to the frame or anything metal for that matter. I have rewired everything so I know nothing is frayed. The running lights are the cut in the body of the cart type so the are screwed into plastic. I'll let you know what happens when I get it back and run it direct to the marine battery. Thanks everyone.
