Smile EZGO electric cart dead after new batteries

I have an older model 36 volt EZGO electric golf cart. After it lost power on the course I had the batteries tested and they did not meet specs so I purchased 6 new 6v batteries. After replacing them the cart is totally dead. I checked for loose or corroded wires. The wire to my master switch was questionable so I replaced it but it is still dead. I don't even hear a click when I press the accelerator. Could this be a solenoid issue or possibly the computer controller? Any advise would be appreciated.

model number ? Need more info on what cart you have. If it lost power with old batteries and has no power now with new batteries, it could be simple. Did you replace the batteries your self ? All the info you can provide will help.

Where would I find the model number? All I can find is a metal plate with an EZGO manufacture code of H0397. As far as I know it is a late 90's model.

The computer controller is a Curtis PMC 36 volt part number 73144G03

I checked it again and I am hearing a very slight clicking sound when I depress the accelerator.

The cart is a 1997 TXT, but it could be a Series cart or a DCS cart. Is there a toggle switch on the controller cover under the passenger seat?

From the symptoms I suspect it is a DCS cart with a blown controller caused by low pack voltage.

Can low battery voltage cause a blown controller? I have read from another source that if it is a blown controller and I shake it I may hear a rattle inside. I tried to remove the controller to confirm this but the bolts on the cables attached to the top of the controller are so tight that I am afraid of breaking off the posts on the controller. Is there any other method to confirm if the controller is blown?

Yes, low voltage will blow a DCS OEM controller. Known fault of DCS carts. Is the cart a DCS model?

When I look up the part number for the controller it is a Curtis DCS controller.

G is right. It's quite possible that the low voltage from the old batteries caused the controllers failure and now with good batteries you still won't go with a failed controller. If I might suggest, when you buy a new controller get some type of battery meter also.

I got an idea. Get in touch with this guy above me. Get a controller, new cables and his SOC meter. You will be set.

Is there any way before I spend the money on a controller to confirm if the controller is blown?
