Default Battery Question

I am going to pick up a set of used batteries for my cart so I can test run some of my fabrication. What should a 6 volt battery show on a test meter that would tell me it can be charged. Like I said these are used but I am looking for a short term fix while I finish my build. Then a new set. Thanks for any help.

A 6v battery should never read less than 6.0v Some 5.9 can be revived but they always fall short of really good.

What should a 36 volt pack read on a meter after it has been charged?

The Ezgo powerwise charger will bring them up to 44-46v before it shuts off... then voltage will drop over the next 12-18 hours as the pack settles back down to what it can actually hold... this is the true reading full is 38.2 +/-

ScottyB thank you very much for the chart, it helped a lot. I'm going to be getting some parts from you soon. I want one of the key switches with the meter built into the plate.
