36v Marathon Stock
Ok, I have been tossing around the idea of getting rid of one of my electric carts and getting an older gas cart. I was in the "cart place" near here and I mentioned the same thing and the mechanic who was sitting there said just make sure you stay away from the older 2 cycle engines because they are not made for "long runs" only short periods of use and they heat up and you have too much chance of burning the seals out. So, my question to you guys is two fold,
1. If I opted just to keep one of my electric, I have a 87 and an 82 marathon. I realize 36v I am not going to get anywhere fast, but it seems to handle mild to moderate inclines fairly well, then what kind of draw backs other than the obvious with the limitations of 36v. 2. If I did decide to go with a gasser, Do I stay away from the 2 cycle buggies, just certain models, or was this guy full of balogna? Thanks guys, I have learned so much from this site already. |
