H/D Forward/Reverse Switch or NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!
Are all H/D F/R switches created equal. This one didn't last 9 months. I think I may need a Superduty F/R switch.

Re: H/D Forward/Reverse Switch or NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!
Went for a morning ride with the kids and it just stopped. I smelled a burning smell and opened my seat to inspect. It was pretty obvious. Had a buddy come and tow me back with his Club Car Carryall. We were about three miles from the house.

Re: H/D Forward/Reverse Switch or NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!
That could totally be why your cart was bucking and only going forward... since you obviously need a new F&R lets get this replaced first and then retest the controller operation. Is the cable end okay that was connected there?
And the answer to your question is no, all HD F&Rs are not created equal. But in the switches defense...... are you certain that cable connection was tight? |

I am certain the connection was tight. It was tight when I removed it. I will ship my contoller to you regardless. I have two weeks that I will be at work so the cart won't be used anyway. I just want to be sure the contoller is operating properly. |

I am convinced you do not need to send the control but if you want me to test it I will.

ScottyB, If you are convinced I will not send it. If it bucks still with the New and Improved ScottyB H/D F/R Switch in it then I guess I will send it. You are the pro not me. I trust you. After all You are the one that got me addicted. Send me a PM with the cost shipped to 70438 for the F/R switch.
Thanks, David J. |

If you manage to burn up Scotty's, the next step is to do a solenoid activated F&R lamo
