Re: 1990 Club Car DS Conversion
Instead of getting a seperate potentiometer, I have the intent of using the V-Glide as the throttle control as Club Car manufactured the 36v controller carts between 89-03.

Re: 1990 Club Car DS Conversion
Club Car only built a 36 Volt controller cart for a year and a half actually. 1993-1994. Everything else was V-Glide/Resistor. In the case that you were to find one of these V-Glides, the frequency would be 0-5K

Re: 1990 Club Car DS Conversion
So the V-Glide that's on there now wouldn't work?

Re: 1990 Club Car DS Conversion
If I put a controller on the cart would the V-Glide work?

The back of the V-Glide for one of the 93-94 36V controller carts has resistors stepped off on it. With good enough pictures of a V-Glide from a 36 volt controller cart, some resistors, and a some math, couldn't you convert the resistor coil type V-Glide over to one that would work with a controller? |

Re: 1990 Club Car DS Conversion
The simple answer is yes. You can convert a standard V glide into a multi-step potentiometer such as CC used in 93-94. Nivel sells a kit #6344 list is $140 for the conversion.
