Default Has anyone adjusted the side valve motor on a 1991

We have been having issues on our club car start. After checking compression it was only at 110 and it looks like the valves need to be adjusted, but having a hard time figuring out the easiest way to do this.
Can anyone help us?
Thanks!

My thoughts:
  • Compression of 110psi is a good reading for a KF82 motor.
  • No need to talk about adjusting the valves, since they can't be adjusted.
  • From reading over your other thread it sounds like a carb issue.

Thanks Springbok!
We have been working with the carb for a while now and it is perfectly clean, so maybe i am missing something. We have had it apart 2 times now.
The motor wants to fire because you can hear it, but it just doesnt go. Randomly it will run and when we have it running it runs perfect,,, literally perfect and the motor sounds great.
I guess we are just stumped on the situation.
We have also replaced gas line and filter, spark plug and cleaned carb. new filter also.

Try cleaning the brass filter on the fuel pump (on the side of the gas tank). Sometimes they can get clogged with dirt and dust. Brake cleaner works.

The valves can be adjusted on a KF82 motor. however I don't think that is your issue unless the cart was run with a dirty or no air filter. And I agree, 110 compression is great for that motor
