Loud rattling noise when warm
2001 Club Car DG, 290 engine. Starts in a second, runs great, but recently started to get fairly loud rattling or vibrating noise from underneath after running a while and after the engine is warm, and I cannot find anything underneath loose or vibrating. Changed the engine oil and filter and also the differential/trans oil, both came out clean without metal particles etc. in the oil. The noise sounds like metal on metal, like something is hitting or rubbing against something else, and like I said does not start until the engine is warm and is mainly at higher speeds as it disappears if you let off the pedal and slow down a little. It doesn't sound like a wheel bearing, it's a rattle or vibration and it's bugging me. I don't think it's internal in the engine because it runs so well and it's only at higher rpms, but anyone have any suggestions?

Re: Loud rattling noise when warm
No responses to this? I just got a CC DS and notice a rattle at high speed with no load. Sounds like the rear clutch. It does not make the noise going up hill, so it just seems like loose parts in the clutch. Would like to clear it up though. Wondering if replacing the clutch spring would help?
