Changing accelerator pedal shaft bushings
Working on 99 Carry All.
Gas pedal shaft bushings are shot and I bought new shaft and bushing brackets with bushings installed. Has anyone done this job and wouldn't mind sharing how to? I cannot get gas pedal bracket off shaft. Thinking about cutting shaft on each side of pedal bracket. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you |

Re: Changing accelerator pedal shaft bushings
That's the fastest way is to cut the shaft and order new bushings and a new shaft. The shaft usuall has a flat spot on it from wear anyway. You will have to use the plastic sleeve spacer again or order it also.
