Smile Muffler Leak, Fire and Replacement

I purchased a 1995 Club car ds that is loaded with new parts and updates. New back seat with fold down diamond plate, new roof, fesh oil and filter, new alternator (?), etc. I took it for a ride around our new campsite a few times and then it started smoking and my a$$ started to get hot. There were a couple of pin holes in the top of the muffler ( I swear I did not see) that shot heat up and melted the lip about 3" and chared the edge of the seat wood.I took the old muffler off, first side but came off, the second side the whole bolt came and nut came off. The I took off the rest no problem and muffler out. Two questions, is that a problem that the whole bolt came out and is there more than one muffler replacement for a 95 ds?
Thanks, I didn't join up just to ask repair questions but to read up on everything related to club car in general.

Welcome to BGW TDJim!

Don't sweat asking questions here... that's what BGW is here for!

First off...
it shouldn't be a problem that the exhaust "stud" came out of the head, it should re-install with no problem!

Second...
92, 93, (and not sure about 94) have a different part number for the muffler, (could be an outdated/obsolete p/n)
then 95 on up to 2009/2010? FE290 muffler have a part number of #1018593-01,

What you could try is wrapping it with "muffler tape" for now until you can locate a new/used muffler!

Thanks for the info. I thought about the muffler tape but it
looked like someone tried to weld it once already and I just didn't want to deal with it again. Thanks for the part number and reassurance the stud will go back in.
