What year motor is this Kawasaki 290D? What cart is it from?
I've have a project cart, EZGO body, with Club Car drive train (yeah, I know) and trying to figure out what the hell this thing is.
Do you know what model club cart this motor (decal in pic) and transaxle (serial stamp in pic) is from? What year the engine is? Code: FE290D-DS05 E/NO: **290D116490 Transaxle stamp: 1080516 See pics. Thank you! |

well that looks like quite the frankencart!
looks like a pre-1997 engine to me and you are going to need a new (real) drive belt! |

Check to see if there is a tag on the engine shroud by the S/G...

unfortunately there is not a tag on this motor.
Yes, it runs fine with the skinny belt, but it doesn't engage the rear pulley. So it's like running in low gear all the time. Belt doesn't slip at all though. |
