09 Transporter will not shut off
I have a 2009 Transporter that will not shut off. When I turn the key to off it stays running but at a lower rpm. I have to take the battery cable off the make it stop running. This cart has the starter on the key switch and not on the pedal. I have checked the ground on the motor, which was suggested by one person I asked at my local dealer but all are tight.

Re: 09 Transporter will not shut off
Welcome the BGW Vinnie!
Thank you for telling us that you have a "Key Start" cart! So the engine is "cranking" but not running? There's only 3 things that I "think" it might be... (but I could be wrong) 1) Your solenoid is stuck closed. 2) The key switch is bad. 3) The relay is bad. The relay and solenoid are located in the Electrical Components Box. (black box next to the battery) There are individual tests for them... but I'd have to scan them to post them, kinda short on time this evening! |
