Default acceleration problem

Hi Everyone ,,,
I have a 2001 EZGO TXT with a robins 2 cycle motor 292

When I accelerate the drive pulley closes up a little bit and the back pulley opens a little bit
When wide open it hits Rev limiter and belt is not coming up right on drive clutch .. and I have no speed ...
all is original clutches
I suspect a pulley is bad . But which one??
any suggestions on what to do would be appreciated

Thanks
Bob

Remove the belt, start the engine and slowly increase engine speed to see if the drive clutch closes up all the way. Dont over rev it.

Take the cover off check and see if anything is broke inside broken weights can make them not shift under a load causing motor to his rev limiter
