RXV Rear Axle Fluid Change
Purchased a used 2008 RXV gas powered cart and not sure when the last time the rear axle fluid was changed so I'm going to go ahead and change it. Looking at the RXV gas service manual all I'm finding is the capacity of axle is 51 ounces (1.5 liters) but does not specify what weight or if I need an anti friction additive.
Anyone have specifications they can share with me? Nice thing on gas carts is I get a fill and drain plug, better than pulling the wheel assembly like on the 48 volt RXV. Thanks |

In case others stumble across this thread in the future... I was able to find a Dana axle document which states 1.5L of SAE30 should be used in the rear axle.
I'm going to use 49 oz of Lucas gear oil along with 2 oz of Liqui Moly Anti-Friction since everything indicates the axle is a limited slip. |

Good to know, although I'm 78 and never changed rear-end fluid on anything I ever owned..
