Default oil mix question ?

I have my engine apart and will install a kit ,crank and piston ,ect . When I took it apart I was kind of surprised to see the oil pump still hooked up and working .I pulled the hose off and plugged it before removal .Question is ,can I assume that I can just hook up the hose and call it good when I install the engine again?
would I need to make sure its bled the air out of it .?
I could just mix and that sounds like the best deal, I would hate to ruin the new engine with a screw up with the oil pump.
If I decide to mix ,what ratio for initial start and when do I change the ratio , and to what?
Thanks
Sorry for the edit ,its a 91 two cycle ,EZ-GO.

Your first tank full will be 40:1, after that mix 128:1.

I would not use the oiler at all. Get rid of it.

Make sure you install the piston with the side ports facing the intake, and make sure that you install the rings bevel side up. The ends of the rings will wrap around little alignment pins in the ring grooves.

You should also check ring end gap before installing.

Plug the intake manifold where the oiler banjo attaches. 6mm.
