Forward reverse gearbox

I have a 1988 EZGO Marathon with a 420cc Predator engine. I put the 40 series torque converter on there from Go Power Sports, but now I’m looking for a gearbox to install so I have reverse capabilities. Any suggestions where to find one that’ll fit?

I'm wanting to build about the same machine any luck on finding the gearbox

I think the part your after is the comet 218390a there pricey and I don't think they are being made any more. I think with the predator you are up at the top end of the HP rating for the 30 series box.

They were obsolete in Feb of 2017 -- if you can find one - be careful you break it. It rated for 16hp.

might be tough to locate, but look for a rear axle from a 4 stroke Marathon....
