295cc Piston ring question
Hey gang, I started my engine reassembly today following the manual very closely. Problem is that my rings do not have an "N" mark anywhere to be found and do not look precisely like the ones in the manual.
My oil ring is a 3 piece (old style) and there is a completely straight ring (no bevels) and a ring with very slightly tapered edges and a slightly shiny finish at the edge. My guess is oil ring (obvious), straight ring is wiper and the slightly tapered ring is the compression ring. Is that correct? The only marking on the ring at all is a "0". I assume that is the size marking (0, .25, .50) |
