Re: Trying to get more speed
Not sure the difference between a 93 marathon and yours but after the gov adjustment and smaller belt on 22's I was hitting 26 mph I also did not run the nut all the way down and with the seat off and using my hand to operate I was able to hit around 30 mph and the smaller belt gave me a ton of torque..(also used it to plow my snow on my 300' driveway).. I figured not running it balls out would save the engine a little, I ran it for 3 years and just sold the cart, still running good.. Good luck on your journey, let us know the outcome and some pics too..

Nobody ever seems to do valve adjustments, and it makes a world of difference in power. |

Re: Trying to get more speed
The valves were a bit tight. (No play) I set them at .006.

I had a 92 marathon. It was electric. I sold it to get this one. |

Re: Trying to get more speed
What kind of compression numbers are you seeing? Tight valves = not closing all the way = lower compression = less power

Re: Trying to get more speed
Nice paint!
May I recommend a repower? Little more trouble, but interesting outcome.. .or not. Txt can handle it! Ignore the mess. The harness is being stretched. |

Re: Trying to get more speed
I did a compression test before work. I got between 175 & 180 on both cylinders.

Re: Trying to get more speed
Those are good compression numbers. Is the speed and power any better?
