I haven't driven it since I've been working on it. I did a complete service and changed the differential oil. I hope to ba able to get back on it this weekend.

how far out were the valves when you adjusted them?

with the compression numbers you've got, and adjusting the governor a bit, you should see a pretty significant difference. 20mph shouldn't be any problem at all. You may be able to eek out a little more if you really strain the engine, but much more speed than that and you'll need to start upgrading parts, which is where the money starts to add up.

I couldn't feel movement on the rocker when the lobe was down on any of the 4, so I'd say they were a bit out. I'm not gonna rev the piss out of it, but 20mph would be nice.
