Default Ezgo 350 workhorse will not run

I've cleaned the carb 4 times, air box hoses etc were cleaned, new plugs wires and oil change checked the timing keys they line up, compression is at 180, adjusted the valves. Had it running with the choke after playing with it for a while. But it would bog down and die if I didn't hold it perfect. Plugs have spark exhaust isn't clogged idk WTH else to do I need help

If you can get it to run with the choke on, then it is most likely a fuel supply issue. You say you cleaned the carb already but is it a genuine carb or a cheap one from amazon/ebay. If it is a genuine one then i would suggest getting it into a sonic cleaner to clear out all the drillings, not just the jets.

Also, depending on air filter type, make sure you have the carb baffle plate inside the air box installed correctly, if not it can interfere with airflow into the carb and make it bog down.

It won't run with the choke amymore. Spark plugs are soaked in gas. But with the air box disconnected I couldn't get it running with my hand over the carb adjusting the air flow. I was just messing with it again and heard a knocking. It stopped and started again on and off

Cheers for the plug Trig, now, on with diagnosis. You say you heard knocking? Lets start with the basics. If you are getting wet plugs with good compression and a knocking noise, i suggest maybe your first port of call would be to check the cam belt and the cam timing. You can download the engine manual in the tech section for details if you do not have it already. Once you have confirmed that cam timing is all good, then we can move on to ignition and fuel testing.

You cannot get a realistic fueling test without the airbox fully fitted as it alters the fuel air ratio enough to affect the engine running correctly. Dont forget my comment about a proper cleaning of the carb, this is essential on these engines.

The exhaust manifold on the MCI is integrated with cylinder head.

The Pre-MCI engines you removed the exhaust manifold from head.

MCI engines came with grey timing covers and Pre-MCI came with black.
