Drive clutch rebuild
Hi All,
I am beginning the rebuild process on a 2pg engine. I pulled the engine and started the teardown today. I was able to get the flywheel off without too much trouble using a steering wheel puller. The clutch had me scratching my head a bit though. I understand that there are threads in the clutch and that I will need a bolt with matching threads to "pull" the clutch off the crankshaft. The part that had me confused was the plastic bushing that had to be removed to get access to those threads. I tried to remove the bushing without destroying it, but didn't have much luck. So, the question is where can I get parts to rebuilt my drive clutch? I will need the plastic bushing that I messed up today. I will also need the bushing that goes into the sliding portion of the clutch. I'd rather not have to buy a new clutch assembly if possible. |
