Default ‘96 Jacobson textron turns over but doesn’t fire

It has no spark and I’m wondering how to test the igniter. Any help would be appreciated thanks!

Is this a golf cart with the 9hp Robbins ?
If so there is no way to test the ignitor other than trying one from a cart that is firing.
Did it just stop firing all of sudden ?

it does have the robbins motor but not sure if it's the 9hp or not. This is a customers cart so I'm not 100% sure; I Just know now that I have no spark and it's got a new coil & solenoid. I wasn't sure if there was a reading that I could look for coming off of the ignitor itself.

No reading you can check on ignitor. I keep one just for testing .

I also always keep a spare coil. You can OHM the coil and see what it looks like. A know good one is much faster for me.

Put a test light on one of the wires on coil and spin the engine over. See if the test light comes on.

Wiggle the wires on connection next to fan housing. The one that goes to pulser coil behind flywheel/fan. I have seen them have a bad connection there more than once.

Not that they ever go bad but did you check the pulser coil to see if it generates voltage when you spin it over ? Should see around 1/2 volt with DVOM set on AC scale.

I just got through rewiring a 1999 that someone had cut all the wires on. These things are pretty simple if you look at the diagram on how they fire.
