Default No spark in forward and neutral 2016 Ezgo Express l6

This 2016 Ezgo had been starting and operating in F-N-R until last week. The cart has a radio sound system including an amplifier and bass unit.

After the amp was removed hastily and installed again in the cart the no spark condition in forward and neutral started. The solenoid was replaced after the no spark condition by the owner of the cart.

I never had run across a no spark condition like this before on a golf cart. I welcome any suggestions or solutions the forum has to offer. Thanks

If you’re getting spark in reverse but not forward and neutral I would think ground fault. Check all your ground wires and connections

Can you clarify how the amp was removed hastily? was it stolen? Wires cut? Something else?

Silly question, but have you checked fuses? There's a chance that somehow either power or ground (not exactly sure how this cart works, i've never worked on one) is back feeding through the reverse switch or reverse lights, and feeding the power or ground that's missing to complete the circuit, so it has spark in reverse. In forward, there's nothing going through the reverse switch, buzzer, or lights (depending on exactly what it's equipped with) so there's nothing to back feed through and complete whatever circuit is missing.

As said, I've never worked on one of those carts but know plenty about wiring and electrical. Blown fuses or loose/floating grounds can cause all sorts of weird issues.

Check the fuses and then trace all the wires to make sure nothing came loose. You'd be surprised how much chaos one bad ground at the wrong place can cause.
