2001 Ezgo workhorse key switch issue
Hi guys! Been doing some poking around here for a few weeks now, i recently bought a 2001 workhorse. LOVE the cart! But it came with a little tlc needed, which is fine! Cleaned the carb & tank, new fuel pump, new battery anddddd nothing. Start looking at something’s notice I’m not hearing a click from the micro switch which i hit the pedal, so i proceed to there. Pull back the floor & WALA! no switch.. made a quick jumper wire threw it in neutral and boom it’s alive! Runs great & money well spent! So micro switch comes in today throw it in boom cart runs with the pedal now.. here’s where it gets weird, the cart runs with no key
 key off push pedal it goes, key on it goes, lights on........ it goes.. So i immediately think okay maybe someone played with the key switch and made it full time & that’s not case either.. key switch is wired properly, i think. Everything else appears to be normal.. I’m beating my head up against the wall here and hoping for some help! Any help! |

At least the cart goes.
Had my key switch apart and had 4 terminals, also has Blue wire is power in.....odd terminal not in a row Red and blue is key on and pedal down....power to solenoid Light out is another blue See if this helps |

Thanks for the quick reply!
I believe i just found my issue... some one hot wired the cart under the seat.. they took green from the micro switch to power on the solenoid.. green and blue from key switch were cut under the floor board.. Just had to take a second to find a wiring diagram and trace some wires.. all should be well tomorrow! |

I kept wanting to goto that custom green wire.. it was a dead giveaway some one was playing around.

The last cart I got had so many open grounds....which got me into the key switch. That's why I had a drawing. |

Update, went & got green & blue wire to do it right, & wouldn’t you know it works great! Should have took a picture of her today
