G2 trans strength
So, I thought I completely grenaded my trans the other night in my G2. Turns out that the only thing I smoked was the stock governor arm in the trans. I’ve been told these transaxles in the early Yamaha carts are the strongest ever made. Well, I believe it now! I have beat the piss out of this trans with wheelies, burnouts, drag racing and it still looks brand new inside! I would have never thought how big these gears are in this trans! The ring gear is the size of a small dinner plate. I’m a believer in the early years Yamaha trans!
