Battery not charging
Hey everyone, first post in Yamaha gas....I spent most of my time in ez go and now Yamaha electric. I have a friend at our campground who has a G2 that the battery does not charge in. I am not getting out put on the starter generator wires when I ground green. Whoever tried to fix it before replaced the voltage regulator, start/gen and battery. I am never one for assuming a new starter gen could be bad so I’m hoping somebody can tell me what I am missing? Does this need voltage from a battery to start outputting charging volts? I want to believe it is a bad wire but I would have thought that the starter generator would have output the charge voltage even if that was the case. By the way I do have 5.4 ohms across the charging field

Re: Battery not charging
Found it, previous repairer had the red and red/white wires crossed down near the starter generator pigtail, hope this helps someone else
