Default Sputtering soon after starting

I have an unusual problem with my G29 Drive. When I first accelerate everything is fine, but soon after (1-2 tenths of a mile) it will start to sputter. If I keep the gas fully depressed after 5-8 seconds seems to get through it and will run fine for miles afterward. However, if I do not keep the gas pedal pressed it will stall. When it stalls it takes 5-10 minutes to get it to run again. Again after that, it will run fine for miles with no issues.

What I suspect is happening when I burn the gas out of the bowl it starves for gas. Jut not sure why. What do you guys think my likely issue is for this behavior?

Thanks!
