1991 EZGO Running Rich
All,
Bought a golf cart that sat for a couple years off a buddy and said it ran fine when parked. Changed the oil, spark plugs, air filter, carburetor, fuel filter and fuel pump to get it running. It only runs if the air box is open with no air filter in it. If the air box is closed with or without the filter it will not run. Also spitting gas into the air box and smokes like a chimney. Any ideas? |

Did it run fine for you before it was put away, or are you just trusting your friends word? Did it only run worse after you did the services to it? My suggestion would be to make sure nothing is inside the restrict or for the air box, you would be surprised where mice can live and build houses. Try blowing through it and see how restricted it is

Cavycoco123 the air box was clear. I ran a compression test and it failed. Adjusted the valves and it solved my issue! Thanks for the response
