Default club car 2002 Solenoid kicks

Hi first time post, when I put my 2002 electric club car in fwd everything is fine, when I put it in reverse the buzzer sounds but nothing the wheels try to start turning but stop and the solenoid clicks and nothing. Help

Take a look at the F/R contacts & cables, you may have a melted copper contact or one of the wires may be pulled from the connection. thats if your 02 is a DS cart and not a IQ, IQ will have a button for f/r and DS will have a handle. let us know

It may be that the F&R toggle is going bad? Check with a voltmeter. Are you saying the solenoid clicks in F but not in R?

ScottyB can you post the motor diagnose page that you have, Then if the motor checks out good, your controller is no good,

The solenoid clicks in F and runs but in R it clicks tries to turn and clicks off.

Batteries are reading good and I have lots of speed in F, when I put it in F the solenoid clicks and the wheels start turning and when I release the pedal the solenoid clicks and the cart stops, when I place in R the solenoid clicks and immediately clicks off again. You think it might be the controler?

Yup, that can happen to controllers, only one direction

Are there any tests I can perform on the controller to determine if it has failed.
