Passenger front suspension replacement
Hello,
By reading through a few threads I think I'm at the right place. I have a 2000 Club Car 36V that a buddy's nephews apparently used as a battering ram at some point and I got lucky enough to be pleaded with to fix it. In the tearing down I have a few questions I'd like to throw at you folks to see where I stand.... The axle spindle seems to be fine, the problem here is with the axle, it's actually bent where the arrow indicates. It was bent bad enough that when the wheel bearings were seated the tire rubbed against the sharp end of the spindle arm where the tie rod bolted through. Can you press out the actual axle from the spindle and reinsert a new axle into the spindle arm or am I faced with having to replace the whole part? In the process it bent the Delta A arm and torqued up the Delta upper clevis. I was able to hammer out the Delta A back to fairly flat/straight and I'm planning to reuse it. Bad idea? Onto the electricity side... Before I even tore into the suspension I pulled the batteries and redid all the parrallel connections between the cells so I knew what I was dealing with. It's fully charged and runs like a raped ape in reverse but just clicks when in forward. Where do I start to troubleshoot this problem? Any help is greatly appreciated to getting this out of my shop. I'll keep it for a few days to let my wife drive it to the mailbox... maybe I'll get some sway into owning one myself soon. Thanks, Lode |

Re: Passenger front suspension replacement
Thanks for your help, much appreciated.
The cart just got tested out here this morning after installing some headlights and everything is good to go. Aside from the hassle I got from cartzone.com and getting my parts in a timely fashion, everything went smoothly. I won't be giving them any of my business again, was a bit rediculous... live and learn. Thanks again, Lode |
