Default old style solenoid to new style solenoid

I have the old style <big square end> solenoid on my g1 was wondering how to hook up the new style solenoid < small round > or can it even be done any help will be appreciated and thanks for the help

Just use a wiring diagram from a 1982 and up G1. Should be able to get one from the sticky above.

so nothing special to do when hooking a new style <forward > with the old style < reverse> that sounds easy enough then

Are you going to use 1 old style and 1 new style? That sounds like work to me.
