Default Re: MP3 kit going in soon will the battery power it

I just decided to put in an MP3 kit last night when I found a cheap one on Ebay! I plan on using my Droid for MP3s and Pandora radio. What are you planning on using as a source? All JL components That thing will have amazing sound compared to my little Pyle. I'm jealous.

Do you have a small tractor battery in that thing or a larger battery? I had major problems with headlights and undercarriage lights killing my battery last year so I moved some things around and put in the biggest car battery I could fit. It was worth it, you should look into a battery upgrade.

My cart was a rat when I got it so I had some fun with a little bit of a low budget rat rod theme. I love the look of the speakers, so I had to buy the kit. I think they will go great with my cart once the get a little fake rust or primer on them. I am thinking about mounting them where the sideview mirroes would go. Anyway, here is the link for the MP3 kit on the way and a link to pics of the cart as it is now...

Did I just highjack this thread? Do I need to remove this post and make a fresh one?

I'm guessin a really beefy marine battery with high cca's and ca's will probably fill the bill. These batt.'s are designed to take alot of load at once for an extended period of time. You might let somebody at an autozone or wherever give you some advice on what might suite you better. Good Luck!!!
