Default 2004 Electric CC. Is $1,500 a good price?

I have been shopping for a electric Club Car for about a month now. I have come across a wide range of prices and quality. I am currently looking at a 2004 club car, 48 volt, with 09 batteries. I does come with the charger and the cart is in overall very good shape. My plan is customize the cart over time with everything from lights, wheels and tires, custom paint, high speed motor, and maybe a lift kit. Does $1,500 sound reasonable for the cart I have described or do I need to hold out for a better deal? Thanks for your input!

I think that sounds like a pretty decent price especially that the batteries are only a year old, provided that the cart is in good shape.

I recently sold a 98 CC 48v for $1300. Probably a decent deal.

Took a look today at the cart I described above. Turns out it wasn't in as good of condition as described and the Trojan batteries were all different years. Oh well, the search continues. I set on getting a 48v club car. Does anyone have any advise on specific years that would be more desirable than others? Thanks

I paid $1800 just today for a 2003 DS IQ that has late 06 date coded Trojan batteries in it and a good working charger. They are charging well and holding a charge well.... but thats not what sold or didn't sell me on it since I know they are now 4 years old and have no idea how much longer they go. What sold me is the thing is rather mint unit that has a brand new Rear folding seat unit on it , almost perfect tires, excellent flip down front windshield, newish roof and still mint front seats and seems to have been well kept and covered all its life. I guess I am taking a chance on the batteries but the upgraded things add up. I have seen some carts with some newer batteries in them that are in the $1200 to 1500 range but the things you have to add start to pile up. And you just don't know how the batteries have been kept up with. From what I read it simply doesn't take long for someone to ruin a nice set of batteries so I am not certain one should even make that a cornerstone of the decision. I almost think it would be better to get a nice price break on a loaded option cart that NEEDS batteries than to pay extra for one that claims to have two year old batteries and find out they were not maintained. My 2 cents

Think about these things to..... a flip down seat kit is, for us peons with no contacts, $400, a windshield $100, seat covers another $50... roof another $150... Light kit $150.. it doesn't take long to put $600 into a $1500 cart without batteries even being considered. And thats just a start. I would rather buy the batteries myself and know where they been and how they been treated.

Congrats on new purchase! Price was reasonable with all the add-ons and condition. IMO run batterires in it until you think you need a new set. That "03 will run a long time with common-sense care. Good Luck!
