Back to the original post... I tried something yesterday. I stopped the car with a brick in front of the left rear tire so I could see it. Then tried to climb over it. Nope! Wouldn't go, I can floor it and the car barely revs and goes nowhere. I back up a foot and there is no problem. It seems to me like the stumble is causing this.
Which screw is the low speed that I need to be adjusting? I have moved the screw on top from one extreme to the other and it don't seem to affect it. I am talking about the one with the black stop on it. I haven't removed the cap and tried it though.
Once the car gets going, it revs up and will climb almost anything. I am still stumped on this one. Looks like I will have to drill out pop rivets to get to my needles?

Mine is the same way. If I stop with my tire in a small, shallow rut. It will not climb out.

I just got my shorter belt in and gonna mess with the governor as well. Hope to hear more suggestions though on the stumbling problem.

Are there any pics of the carb for a '08 TXT? I would like to look at one before I tear mine apart.

Finally fixed the problem. I added the clutch tuning spring from CPP to the drive clutch. Problem gone. Climbs like a cat now, even from a dead stop.
