Default continued from introduction

I am new. Bought a 94 electric club car series 36 volt cart that evidently was one of the ones used in the movie jack ***. Bought a 93 frame only and transferred the the wiring, motor and axle to the new one. Put on a 6 in lift and 23 inch tires. I realized after staring at the wiring diagram for a few hours that 2 wires to the motor were wrong so I fixed that. Now cart will go forward but no reverse and won't charge. My meter is broke. My buddies read the pack at 37 volts so charger should kick on but doesn't. If I didn't already shave my head I would be pulling my hair out LOL. Any help greatly appreciated. Also which sponser is closest to pa to sav on shipping for new 4 ga wires?

IN 93 CC made both a resistor coil and a controller cart.... which is this? Also you are gonna need a good meter to check and see if you have 36v at the charge port?

originally this cart had 2 separate positive cables at the bottom of the F&R for reverse & forward.... You can run a jumper cable as shown below.....

You need a minimum 30v in the pack for the charger to come on? Could this be the problem?

I have it wired like you show scotty but, the question I think I need to is is about the micro switch and the wiring to the charger plug but then again i am guessing. the micro switch has three wire tabs and I only have two to connect to it

3 tab micros have power in and the other two tabs are normally open and normally closed. You will want to use the normally open terminal. so when it closes, you have continuity.

I am making some progress. trriple checked wiring and cleaned everything completelly. Now charger is working. Is there any draw bcaks to upgrading to the 4ga battery wires leaving everything stock? I do plan to upgrade to a controller but funds are an issue especially since they are talking about layoffs at work. I noticed some oil around my rear there is one bolt I see bent so I will replace it. In another thread I read that there is only 22oz of oil in there any thing I should consider when draining and refilling it after the bolt replacement?
