Re: 98 CC 48v Motor Turns Wheels Don't
SCOTTYB If you need them I have a whole bunch of OBC for your EZGO's ( JUST KIDDING ) I always admire your perfesionallity as always TOPS.
I have always used a hydrometer to check each cells condition as a volt meter really only gives a surface reading to me. I know it takes longer but I so often find a weak cell that even a voltage meter across that battery terminels wont show? Total pack voltage is the same and can give overall incorrect readings except after load test. Its also much more possible to get false readings from a battery that has been charged and not let level off for at least one hour. |

Re: 98 CC 48v Motor Turns Wheels Don't
i have never seen a C.C. that stripped a rear hub.........dosn,t mean it dosn,t happen but it would be an axle shaft that would be the problem, the rear setup on them is nothing like an E-Z go.......kinda wish they were much easier to dianose and repair.........C.C. you had to worry is it the shaft or rearend....E-Z go you just po a new hub on and away you go......................

scottyb
Both the rear hubs appear to be held in place with C-clips, and they both are a one piece design with the studs being pressed in place to accept the hub/wheels similar to most cars. Hope this helps ----I need MORE IDEAS GUYS Someone stepping on my toes occasionally is just _____ that happens, however stealing my hub nuts will NOT be tolerated! |

Re: 98 CC 48v Motor Turns Wheels Don't
MaxGyver i have a 97 cc 48v was doing the same thing...i thought it was the rearend too. the motor would turn but cart would not go. It wound up being a bad battery...i was told the rearend just really dont have any parts to break and myself seen a diagram of one...ther made by kawasaki and all gear driven....with a volt meter hook up to the batt and wot wheels on ground what is ur voltage..If it drops below 36v with a load on the cart it will just set ther a shutter !
