MaxGyver, pull the motor off and see if the motor coupler.......which is a 10 spline is worn and look at the out put shaft in the rear.........you could have a combination of both parts worn enough to cause the motor to slip under load...........if this is the case you can buy a new motor coupler and put on, this will be enough to take away enough play that you should be fine. Just a thought, hope this helps....................

just 1 batt dropping out under load will cause quite a few non run symtons........................................
