e z go freedom project...550cc
hi everyone. i just baught a golf cart last night that needs fixin. i know nothing about what year it is, or how to find out. the frame is broken in the middle of the cart from rust, so i will have to replace some metal to get it back to par.
ultimate goal: getting my 550cc motor in there and pull some wheelies, and burnouts. whatever you can tell me about this type of cart would be great....Loola |

that's a marathon. you should find a tag in passenger side glove box. mfg.# will tell you year. is it gas ? if the engine is on its side it is pre 89--if it uright with a horizontal muffler it is an 89-93 model. good luck jim

Wow, what a project. Looks like fun. Since it's already broken in the middle, might as well stretch it and put in some extra seats.

WOW! What a project, you can do it. Do lots of research and weigh it out. There are lots of carts out there for a few hundred bucks. You have lots of missing parts so the hunt is on. I took some advice from Paxdad and ditched my project cart. And bought a newer cart. At any rate best of luck. Keep us up to date.
