Removing & Installing Front Shocks
It's been a long time since I've posted here. Not that I didn't have anything to say, just been reading all these months. However, a important matter has risen... one of my front shocks on the 2006 EZGO TXT has been leaking, and needs replacing. I've ordered two (2) new shocks from Buggies.Com to replace the fronts. After looking on how to remove the old ones, the top nut on the shock is up under the cowling and no way can see how to get to the nut. I don't want to cut any holes in the upper area of the cart or remove the dash on the cart.
Any idea or good way to reach the shock top shaft nut? |

Re: Removing & Installing Front Shocks
It can be done, just pull the mud flap down enough to get one hand up in there and hold the nut with a box end wrench then unscrew by turning the shock, then keeping the nut and grommet in place with the one hand start the new shock with other.
and don't worry the mark on your forearm will go away eventually. |

Re: Removing & Installing Front Shocks
Thanks for the information. From what I can judge from your instructions, I don't see any flap (plastic no doubt) to pull down. I will take a closer look tomorrow.

It helps to jack up the cart and have a stool to sit on.
