95 Club Car Will Not Take A Charge-Update #2
There was no way I could get to the obc out and do it my self as the older carts do not have an access panel. The final bill is as follows:
Misc. Supplies $10.00 Enviromental sc $ 6.00 OBC Kit#21750-01 $210.59 Labor@90.00 x3.5 $315.00 Pick-Up & Del. $ 50.00 $591.59 +tax. Is this still way out of line? I really appreciate all of the responses trying to help. If I was 37 instead of 67 I might have tried to take it apart! |

I wish I could $90 for 3.5 hours to do an obc .... but hey the important thing is that your cart is back up and running and you didn't have to spend a day underneath of it...

I think 3.5 hours is a little extreme for upgrading an OBC as It should only take about 90 minutes for an experienced person. But your car is working now and the case is closed.

to be honest i would charge close to the same thing, maybe 50 bucks less, but someone has to make a living at it, remember, he has to pay for his own overhead to

Could have helped you do it for the cost of OBC, either your place or mine. Yes to me it was out of line, but hey not my money. Done this before so would have been easy and next time you could have helped another or done yourself. Just saying Port Clinton isn't that far.

Re: 95 Club Car Will Not Take A Charge-Update #2
thats not a bad price if he picked up/ delivered cart and replaced the dash light and grey wire but for anyone else who has a cart without the access panel if you just jack the cart up and get a 1/4 inch racthett with a 10 inch ext. you can get the OBC out from underneath in minutes...................................

Not sure what the Environmental charge was for, and the labor was way out of line, but all in all I'm happy to know you got it fixed....
Just as a comparable reference, my shop charges $55 and hour, and that job takes me less than an hour to do....... |
