If you got the muffler smoking, just keep hammering on it and it will smoke out and stop. Be careful about driving over flammable stuff when you do it lol sometimes sparks of carbon come out. Then it should run better and not smoke much, its from running it slow a lot and short trips. If you can't get it to burn out then BBQ it. Nice old G1, they are built like tanks, I'm still going to get another one some day.

Well, I've gotten the main body repaired and painted. It looks pretty good, but overall,
I'm not to happy with the duplicolor paintshop product. Sprays like water and even with
a good gun, orange peel occurs.
I refiberglassed the major damage, resined the hairline cracks in the gelcoat, and
plugged all of the holes in under the seat and wherever else I could find them.

I picked up a couple of high back boat seats and mounted them. I'll be fabbing up a rear
tube bumper and a front "brush guard" this weekend. I still need to strip and paint the
front cowl later.

oh yeah, I almost forgot. I ordered a Jakes 6" lift, 22" Swamp Foxs, and aluminum wheels
today. I should be getting them next week.

Body work is complete on the rear cowl. Where the bag rack was, it was
damaged in a major way. Someone had laid fiberglass mat on the inside to
hold about a gallon of bondo. I was able to actually pull the glass right off
and knock the filler out. After removing all damaged material, I had holes
on top and down the back and on the rear left corner as indicated in the pic.

I ground out the areas and
tapered about 8" all around and reglassed the areas with about 10 layers of
mat. I didn't use gelcoat because of the added expense since I planned to
paint anyway. Everything turned out well.

Today, I built the rear bumper and installed the seats. I think they look OK.

Lift kit is installed.
Tires and wheels installed.
Winch and front bumper installed.
Lights installed.
Still need to paint front cowl and make a rear seat.
I'll post a couple of pics when I get my PC back up and running.

Here's another update.
I brought the cart home from the lease this summer to update its look.
I had an old treadmill frame so I butchered it up and made a rear seat.
I also wrapped the body in camo, made camo seat covers, and upholstered
the new rear seat in camo.
I still need to do something with the steering wheel and install the new dashboard.
