After doing a top end, replacing the coil, ignitor, and pickup, replacing crack seals, new muffler, new filters, and cleaning all the grounds I managed to solve my problem. I ended up reversing the blue and red wires from the pickup to the ignitor. Cleared all the back firing and low power issues. When I installed the pickup I was very careful to keep the wires installed exactly the same. Not sure what caused the original problem unless it was at another cart shop before it was brought to me.

I'm not sure, but I think where Dave is going is that if you are counting on or using help and/or advice from members of this forum to work on carts for money (profitably or otherwise) it would definitely be a nice gesture to return the favor and make a donation to the forum ... Seriously, where else are you going to get free advice and/or direction to assist you in your business?
