Count the number of turns lock to lock and divide by 2. If you have five turns left lock to right lock 2 1/2 turns is center. Doing this puts the box in the center of it's travel and assures equal left and right turning radius.

I would also take a tape and do some measuring on the cart frame,
you may have bent some other parts when the spindle was broken. |

yea the axle was twisted and hub was messed up but i guess there was a crack in the spindle we didnt see when i got it fixed and it broke when i was riding around the house
