Rest assured a whole lot of that will bring you back to the forum for some rebuild tips!!LOL You can stop the backfiring by adjusting the butterfly in the throat of the carb... When you adjust the governor it causes the butterfly to move some. When you open the gov. up alot it doesnt let the plate close when you let off the pedal causeing the pop..

If you still have the pieces, you van weld them together.......

My account is 1 broken rod & hole and 2 without a hole.
All 3 broken at 7-9000 revs.

No jokes, you always have more wear / damage with higher revs.
The higher the revs, the more modifications.
Above 5000 damage or extra modifications will take the first....

Hello Marathon Man,

LC engines are build from 2 go-cart enginefreaks overhere in Holland en in Germany.
Why?
Because the fan takes a lot of power on this high revs and the cooling on the second (distributionside) is better.

They don't build them anymore because of the productionstop of the basicengine and the costs.
The latest homologated 250 fourstroke has more HP (36) and costs the same.
(Around 2800 Euro incl. pump and radiator)
The Subaru is never CIK / FIA homologated.
Building a aircooled to a watercooled costs about 600 euro plus radiator and hoses.

The cartengines came out of imported golfcarts, wich were build over to electric.
From 1996 to about 2001 only aircooled and later build over to watercooled.
From about 22 HP to 30 HP at the rearaxle.
They shaved the coolingfins back to the measurments of the massive Drilled out aluminiumblock.
Then shrunk the coolingblock on to the engine.
The racecartwaterpump is driven from the balanceaxle with a litle wheel on it.

The German cartdealer (www.diegowie.de) did the same with a Honda 390 GX.
Then it has about 30 HP.

All in one: search a very good engineshop / man with enginebrains he can build it for you.

But it is only nescesairy at revs like 7500-9000...... otherwise keep it aircooled
See my pics in the avatar and vids at www.karting-zone.de

Do those you run have rod bearings? I saw them in the pics. I know that any of the ones ive seen just have an aluminum connecting rod that goes on the crank no actual bearing.
