I got my g16 and the guy told me he tweaked the governor but said I need to run it with the choke all the way open or else it backfires.. Is there a diff adjustment I can make or is that Normal.

Re: G16 running with full choke
It sounds like your carb isn't setup properly, including the throttle-cable.My wifes' cart was stock when I got it,I bypassed the Gov.,replaced the throttle-cable(broken)adjusted everything to where it worked correctly, and it runs perfect.Pull up the floor-panel near the pedals, and inspect the cable adjustment there,at the rear-axle,and at the carb.Make sure the throttle is closing fully at rest, and opening fully at full pedal-travel.Make adjustments as necessary.Hope this helps.
