G1 1984 Clutch removal
I am working on a 1984 Yamaha G1 I am having a great deal of difficulty removing the starter/generator pully from the crank shaft. The drive clutch came off easily however the pully wont. Any help from the all knowing would be appreciated.
thanks |

Re: G1 1984 Clutch removal
Hmmm I can't seem to find any info on this either. These things have to be removable. Did you check the repair/service manual?
Just curious, why would you want to remove the pulley? Is it damaged? Are you changing the clutch out? |

Re: G1 1984 Clutch removal
It takes a special puller, without it you will destroy the pulley.

Slonomo I am rebuilding the engine and have to remove the pully to split the case and remove the crank.
