Default G1 Rear Seat Options??

Greetings,
I have a 1981 Yamaha G1. I would like to install a rear seat kit - specifically the kind that folds "down" into a small cargo deck when needed.

There doesn't seem to be a kit available for the G1. I realize I could try and build one myself, (many of you have done so, with spectacular results), but I have no welding skills, and really no place to work.

So...The question:

Does anyome know of such a kit? Failing that, is there a kit for a different cart that will "fit", with or without modifications? I don't mind a few mods, but (as I said) I can't weld.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

Hal

I had the same question when I rebuilt my G1. I ended up buying a cheap wire feed welder from Harbor Freight and taught myself how to weld. Ended up with a nice back seat. I would guess your only other option is to have someone build one for you.

Well.... It's starting to look like it's time to learn to weld.

I mean, how hard can it be, right?

Seriously, though, thanks for the reply. It really does seem to be the way to go!
