Jakes shifter??
I was wondering if there were any cons with installing a jakes shifter on my G16, I like the looks and the ease of shifting would be great. I have only had it a short while but finding myself hesitating a short second when time to go in reverse..don't laugh I'm getting old!
Has anyone installed this on g16 and do you have to cut out much? Thanks for any input! |

No cutting you just have to drill 4 holes, make sure you have the bracket in the right place and lined up. Some of the holes are hard to get to but they must go through the F&R bracket to hold everything in place. Good luck and hope this helps some.

Me too. I'm thinking of trying to locate a donor cart for a stretch project. Then my wife could face forward while she lectures me on my driving.

I just saw something I did not think about... The choke knob..hopefully it's not in the way. I think it's in the stock location. Lurch.. Any chance you can get me a measurement on the width of the shifter box and if it is centered off the spline/gear? No hurry!
